MART proposed to strengthen NTFP based livelihood systems through a market led approach in the 50 villages of 2
blocks namely Bandgaon and Goelkera in West Singhbhum district. It was appointed the Technical Support Agency
(TSA) for the district wherein over a period of 14 months it proposed to achieve the below objectives. The first task under
the assignment was to conduct a comprehensive survey of the area to ascertain the supply possibility of major
NTFPs and their demand pattern.
